Instant Pot Chickpea Soup





Ingredients

•2-3 cups Chickpeas dry

•1 cup Iya Foods One-Pot Simmer Sauce (Savory Vegetable)

•1 tsp Iya Foods Garlic with Garlic Skin seasoning

•1 tsp Iya Foods Chili Flakes

•1 tsp Iya Foods Vegetable Seasoning

•¼ teaspoon salt

•6cups waterfor soaking/cooking

Instructions

1. Thoroughly rinse the chickpeas and strain. Optional-soak the chickpeas in water overnight for faster cooking time or use canned already cooked chick peas

2.To cook - Combine chickpeas along with the water to the Instant Pot. Close the lid with vent, seal and set to ‘Beans and Lentils’. If your Instant Pot does not have this function, set to ‘Manual’ and set time to approx. 20 mins for overnight soaked and 40 mins for not soaked. Set for 10 mins if Chickpeas are already cooked canned beans.

3. Once complete, cautiously allow pressure to release then open and stir in Iya Foods seasoning and one - pot simmer sauce – let simmer for 5 mins. Serve hot
